June 23, 2020

The Horton Automatics C3150 Slide Door Control is the most robust, user-friendly slide door control available in the industry today. It’s quick and easy to set up and trouble-shoot, the C3150 was rigorously field-tested to ensure fast installation and long-lasting operation.

The C3150 integrates some of the industry’s most advanced technological innovations for added precision, durability and complies with evolving ANSI standards, but it also retains the familiar user interface protocol from the C2150 to ensure a seamless transition to this powerful new solution.

Did you know in the last few years, ANSI changed the guidelines on all automatic door operators? We can upgrade your current Automatic Slide Door control with Horton Automatics C3150.* The C3150 is fully compliant with today’s ANSI guidelines.

The features and benefits of the C3150 add significant new value to Horton’s line of automatic sliding doors.control board

Satisfies ANSI Standards

In addition to the valuable labor-saving and customer satisfying benefits of this new product, Horton is addressing current ANSI standards for Power Operated Pedestrian Doors with the introduction of the new, fully compliant C3150 Slide Door Control and with the release of a new Sensor Monitoring Board (SMB) to upgrade existing C2150 units.

The revised ANSI A156.10-2017 standards, are designed to ensure added safety for pedestrians. This means more sophisticated sensor monitoring technologies, either through new installations or upgrades of existing automatic control units.

Here are some highlights of the revised ANSI A156.10-2017 standards:
  • Added presence sensor monitoring. Automatic sliding, swinging and folding door systems shall include a means to verify the interface between the door control system and each presence sensor. A detected fault shall cause automatic operation to cease until the fault is corrected.
  • Added mat monitoring. Automatic sliding, swinging and folding door systems shall include a means to verify each safety control mat’s functionality, and the interface between the door control system and each safety control mat. Again, a detected fault shall cause automatic operation to cease until the fault is corrected.
  • Is compliance mandatory? It is not mandatory to include presence sensor/mat monitoring on door systems installed prior to the publication of this standard revision. However, compliance with the new standards on existing installations may be determined by applicable local building codes.
  • The new ANSI/BHMA A156.10-2017 standards can be found here.
Horton Automatics’ automatic slide, swing and folding doors will cease automatic operation by internally initiating a “manual only” condition in the event of a detected presence sensor fault. The door can then be used manually, at the owner’s discretion, and will remain in that condition until the fault is corrected.
